Elevate Class Blog: April 2010

Starting on May 1, our class will be meeting on Saturday nights at 4:45 pm in room A107 (first floor next to the Kidz Zone). We will then attend the 6:00 worship service together and go out to dinner afterward!

We look forward to continuing our awesome group of young marrieds AND reaching out to those that attend Saturday night services!

Prayer Requests

From 8/28:
-Jared's coworker Suzy has had a really tough year. Her father passed away of cancer, her mom had some major surgery and had many of her intestines removed, and her brother was in a motorcycle accident and passed away. Pray for her as she moves on and tries to heal from all of these tragedies.
-Amber's brother Adam and his wife Rebecca had their 30-week sonogram and was told that their baby has fluid build up on the brain. They are doing more tests, but please pray for complete healing of this precious baby boy named Hendricks.
-Kendra's friend Danielle who was temporarily paralyzed after having her baby is still having trouble. She can't stand and hold her baby yet, so pray for healing and that she would be able to take care of her baby as soon as possible.
-Continue to pray for Paul & Robin's mentor couple. Praise that they have been to church every Sunday, and they attended a marriage workshop that went very well.
-The Abbotts' friends that just had triplets are home and doing very well! Continue to pray that the babies gain weight and continue to stay healthy.
-Jared is still dealing with his pleurisy which is very painful. Pray that God alleviates the pain and that Jared can start to feel better soon.
-Paul has a big meeting on Thursday. Pray that everything goes well.
-Marc had his big job interview last week. Pray that the Lord's will be done in this situation.

From 8/21:
-The Gray's are praising God for answered prayers - their dear friend, Dennis, received wonderful news, after 3 different biopsies, that he does NOT have cancer; and another dear friend, Richard, had very successful brain surgery last week
- Michael's Dad is home from the hospital and slowly regaining his strength. Angella and Michael are planning to visit over Labor Day weekend.
-Angella's parents are celebrating 35 years of marriage!
-Marc has secured an interview for a job he is very interested in at his current employer.

-His interview is this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. so let's all keep praying.
-Amber is starting back to school this week.
-Continue to pray for those in our class looking for (different) jobs.
-Keep Courtney in your prayers as she is returning to work on Tuesday where the conditions are very challenging. Much less, it is an emotional time as she leaves Case during the days.

From 8/14:
-Please keep Michael's dad's health in our prayers as he collapsed yesterday again (low oxygen).
-Pray for Michael's transition to his new job promotion as it is not going smoothly or in a timely manner.
-Continued prayers for Robin and Paul's friend, Richard, who will be undergoing brain surgery this Wednesday and Thursday --- skillful surgeons and a quick recovery.
-A praise that Courtney's friends, Lauren and Timmy, gave birth to healthy triplets last week and they will be in the NICU for a few weeks.
-Pray for Courtney and a good last week at home with Case before she returns to work on 8/23.
-Continue to pray for Laura and Neil as they adjust to their new roles as parents to baby Rebekah.
-Pray for a good school year for Cassie as she returns to school soon.
-Pray for God's blessing on those in our class that continue to for different jobs.
-Prayers of thanksgiving for the Pugh's service and ministry to our class. They have decided to begin attending and serving at the North campus this fall.
-Please pray fervently for the future of our class, our planning sessions, and how you can contribute the talents that God has gifted to each of us.

From 8/7:
-Pray for the Ansons as they had to take Rebekah to the ER for stomach issues. Doctors say she's fine, but continue to pray for them during this early stage.
-Jared has a lung infection that's very painful. Pray for complete healing.
-Kendra's friend Danielle delivered her baby a month early. The baby is fine, but Danielle has nerve damage and will need extensive physical therapy. Pray for her to heal so she can take care of her baby as soon as possible.
-The Abbotts' friends Lauren and Timmy are pregnant with triplets. They are having their c-section on Wednesday. Pray for a healthy delivery of all babies.
-Pray for Cassie to get some sleep in this later stage of her pregnancy.
-Pray for Kacie and Marc as they try to get in touch with Ryann.
-Kacie's mom will not be having surgery due to her emotional state. Pray for complete healing.
-Continue to pray for Jen's friend Kara as she grieves after the loss of her baby boy.
-Continue to pray for the McLain family as they mourn the loss of Coach McLain.
-Amber has tests this week. Pray for strength and endurance.
-David's job is going well, and he got a second job at Kohls. Pray for both to continue to thrive.

From 7/31:
-Continue to pray for His peace for Kacie's mom, Sue, and her upcoming knee replacement surgery on 8/23. She is very anxious and fearful and dealing with several issues.
-Please keep Paul's sister, Dana, in our prayers during her breast cancer journey.
-Praise our Lord for the arrival of Rebekah Grace Anson on last Wednesday. Prayers for Laura, Neil, and Rebekah as they all adjust to a new beginnings.
-Pray for Paul and Robin's dear friend, Richard, who will be having brain surgery on August 17 and 18.
-Praise that Jared's friend, Jacob, (has been out of work for over a year) is very close to getting a job.
-We praise God for answered prayers and congratulate Michael Fallin on his recent job promotion.
-Continue to pray for Marc and Kacie as they continue patiently communicating His Word and Truth to Ryann and her Mom.

From 7/24:
- Paul's sister (Dana) - her surgery went well. She meets with the doctor this week to learn the stage of cancer / move fwd with plans for treatment.
- Doltons - safe travel and good discussion with Ryann's mom
- those who are looking for a job / looking for a different job
- Amber's math class is going well. Pray for endurance and understanding the topics
- Thomas (Amber and David's nephew) is doing well and gaining weight
- Ansons - Laura goes in to be induced on Tuesday night. Pray for a smooth delivery on Wednesday!

From 7/17:
-Pray for Kara and Matt Sikes as they lost their 8-month old baby boy James to a brain tumor.
-Pray for Laura as this is her last week before Rebekah makes her arrival! Pray that the baby comes on her own time and that Laura won't have to be induced.
-Pray for Neil's Dad as he is dealing with a blood clot in his leg.
-Pray for Paul's sister Dana as she has her double mastectomy operation on Tuesday.
-Pray for Michael as he has his job transition interview on Wednesday.
-Praise that Angella's job is going well and the person who was making it difficult on her has quit.
-Pray for the Doltons and their relationship with Ryann as they try to tell her the Truth. Pray that she wouldn't be confused and that she doesn't have a negative reaction to the two different religious directions she's being pulled in.
-Pray for David's nephew Thomas who will be in the ICU for a few more weeks.
-Amber has a math test today. Pray for her!
-Pray for Chris as he finishes up his schooling. Praise that he made a 100 on his test last week!

From 7/10:

- Update: David's sister-in-law had her baby via c-section. Pray for mom and baby and also for the family who are / will be traveling to help her out (including her husband who was out of the country).

- Pray for Amber as she starts summer school business calculus.

- Pray for Marc and Kacie as they work through questions Ryann has re: Christian beliefs and Mormon beliefs. She is asking a lot of questions and is confused. Pray that God will give them the right words to speak to both Ryann and to Ryann's mother.

- Pray for Kendra's cousin. He accepted Christ before leaving for Iraq but has now met a girl and has converted to Mormonism and is not speaking with his family about it.

- Pray for Paul's sister Dana as she see the surgeon tomorrow to discuss her options which include a double mastectomy as a start to her cancer treatment.

From 7/3:
-Praise that Robin and Paul celebrated 30 years of wedded bliss this weekend!
-Pray for the Clary's - Robert is in Midland and Linda is taking care of things here including getting their house sold. Pray that it will sell quickly. Linda received a verbal offer from a principal in Midland - pray that all goes well and she receives the "official" offer soon!
-Brayden's Sunday School teacher, Mr. Bob's wife (June) had spinal surgery at Baylor Frisco last week. It is taking longer for June to heal than they would like. Pray for healing and a speedy recovery.
-Kacie's mom found out that she likely needs to have knee replacement surgery. This isn't welcome news for her mom because she doesn't do well with anesthesia. Pray for her mom as she deals with this news and seeks a second opinion.
-Cassie's co-woeker Bryce starts his bone marrow transplant this week. Good news is that, thus far, the other treatments seem to be going well - the tumor that was 24 cm is now only 2 cm across!
-Continue to pray for James, the son of Jen's friend (Kara). Pray for wisdom for his doctors in his treatment plan and for his parents. Also, James won't stop throwing up, and he is scheduled to start chemo in about a week. Pray that he can get better before treatment.
-Continue to pray for those needing jobs or wanting new ones.

From 6/26:
- Pray for Paul's sister, Dana, who has learned she has cancerous tissue in both breasts and is awaiting the results of genetic testing that was recently done. Pray for her as she makes tough decisions on her treatment plan.
- Pray for people who are out of work looking for a different job.
- Continue to pray for the Teague family as they endure the sudden loss of Jonathan's father.
- Pray for those who are traveling, etc.

From 6/12:
-Update on the Gray's friend Melinda's spinal MRI she had Tuesday. It showed that she has arthritis - no tumor. Praise God for this bit of good news. Her brain MRI is this Thursday. It will show how fast/slow the brain tumor is growing. OR, it could show no tumor at all - wouldn't that be a miracle!!! Thank you for your continued prayers for Melinda's complete and perfect healing.
-Paul's sister, Dana, was diagnosed with breast cancer on Friday. Please pray for skilled surgeons and for minimal side effects from whatever treatment occurs after her surgery. It is interesting to see God's hand in several things that happened up to our hearing of the results of her biopsy.

1. Dana had her annual mammogram which indicated a spot in her left breast. The next step was to have an MRI to get more detail on that spot. The MRI showed two spots in her right breast that were undetected by the mammogram. The two spots in her right breast are cancerous. Initial reports are showing the spot they found with the mammogram was a calcium deposit. God, obviously, wanted them to find the two cancerous spots.

2. Last week, before hearing that Dana even had an irregular mammogram, Paul planned a business trip to San Francisco and called to see if he and Robin could visit for the weekend (Dana's family lives an hour outside of town). Dana and her family are not believers. Seems like God wanted us to be there to support and witness to them during this trying time!

3. The same weekend that we will be visiting Dana, her new daughter-in-law is being baptized, which will be an added witness of her faith in Christ and hopefully, an opportunity for the family to hear the good news of Jesus presented.

4. Isn't God amazing! Please pray that we have the right words to use with Dana and her family and that God uses this time to soften their hearts toward Him.

-Please pray for Robert as he starts his new job in midland tomorrow Monday.
-Praises from Kacie & Marc: On our way home from picking up Ryann, Marc told her that she has the option of going to VBS this week or not if she doesn't want to. She wants to go! Pray that God will use the people around her to help penetrate truth to her heart and for better understanding of what salvation means. She also has asked Marc the past 2 nights so far, before bed "Aren't we going to read a Bible story?"
-Prayer request from the Doltons: Please continue to pray for us and that we would have a positive impact on her life and that we will be able to keep a balance in our marriage relationship while she is visiting. Please continue to pray for Marc's family, in particular his dad and mom.

From 6/5:
-Pray for Melinda who has had 3 brain surgeries, and was just told that there is another tumor. She and her husband have been in mentors4couples and they know the Grays. Pray for complete healing as they struggle through this.
-David's little sister Rachel is exhausted at her job, working for the Americore program. Pray for strength and patience to get through the summer.
-Pray for the Pughs as they go on a cruise to Alaska next Saturday!
-The Cowells have to get a new fence, roof and gutter. Pray for patience and that the Lord would provide everything they need.
-Pray for Jen's family issues with her grandfather. Pray for forgiveness that can only come from the Lord in this situation.
-Cassie's co-worker Bryce can't get chemo treatments until his white blood cells go up. Pray for this to happen so he can be treated as soon as possible.

From 5/29:
-Pray for Michael as he has another job prospect at his current company. It seems to be a great opportunity but he wants to make sure he is following God's will. He is also worried about turmoil in his current department.
-Praise and thanksgiving that Ryann will be able to have a 2-week visit with Marc & Kacie this summer in just a couple of weeks. Pray for their ability to finalize plans quickly, safe travel and quality time with Ryann.
-Continue to pray with Laura for healing for the 5-year-old girl in ICU at Columbia Medical center. Treatments and surgeries continue as doctors can only remove 20% of the tumor at a time.
-Pray for continued health for Case Abbott and for Chris and Courtney as they learn what it means to be parents.
-Continue to pray for His complete healing for Cassie's coworker Bryce. Treatments continue to shrink the tumor in his stomach. In order to have the next surgery, he needs to gain weight, and he has just started to be able to eat again.

From 5/22:
-Laura's friend was only able to get 20% of the cancer removed, so she will have to return for more operations. She may be dealing with this for the rest of her life, so pray for patience and understanding for her and her family.
-Connor Bales and Jeff Young are leaving for Kenya, thus leaving their families for a while. Pray for the families, the trip and the safety of everyone involved.
-PRAISE: Case Abbott is doing very well!
-Pray for Courtney as she heals.
-PRAISE: The Pughs are having a girl!
-Bobby's friend and his wife are joining us next Sunday from NYC. Pray for Bobby as he leads the lesson so that his friends may see Christ in him.
-Pray for Ryann (Marc's daughter and Kacie's step-daughter). She is having trouble, and hasn't talked to the Doltons in 3 weeks. Pray for the family involved, and pray for Kacie and Marc's marriage.
-The Gray's brother-in-law has Bells Paulsey and is experiencing paralysis on the side of his face. Pray for healing.

From 5/8:
-PRAISE: David got a job and started today!!!
-PRAISE: Paul's brother-in-law passed his test to be an anesthesiologist!
-Courtney is 37 weeks and feeling good. Pray for the Abbotts during these final weeks of pregnancy.
-Chris passed the carseat test!
-Robert may accept a job in Midland which would mean the Clary's would move there. Pray for guidance.
-PRAISE: Kacie's dad is doing much better physically and emotionally. Continue to pray for their relationship.
-Marc and Neil are both in the process of looking for jobs. Pray for opportunities.
-Pray for Cassie and Linda as they finish up their school year.
-Continue to pray for all the victims of the tornado.
-Cassie's coworker who is battling cancer has quit work and is being aggressively treated. He can't have any contact with his children. Pray for this family.
-Amber has finals on Monday-Thursday. Pray for wisdom!

From 4/17:
-Pray for Nick as he has his 3rd round of job interviews. Pray that the Lord's will be done in his life.
-Paul's friend Matt is looking for a job. Pray for opportunities.
-Pray for all the women who are pregnant (and their husbands)!
-Angella's friend Paula's friend passed away. Pray for the family and friends who are grieving right now.
-Pray for travel mercies for Matt & Erin and that they had a good weekend with Matt's family. Continue to pray for the family and their struggles.
-Continue to pray for David's job search.
-Pray for Ashley as she continues to struggle with her back.
-Marc's daughter Ryann may have to go to summer school this summer, thus preventing her from spending time with the Doltons. Pray for Ryann as she is dealing with a lot of emotional struggles right now. Pray that she gains discernment from the Lord.
-Pray for the Cowells as they deal with house issues.

From 4/10:
-Laura's cousin and family made it safely to the Maldives, but the 4 daughters are having a hard time adjusting to their new life over there. Pray that God would ease their worries and make the transition smooth. Continue to pray for their safety.
-Pam Evatt had 3 teeth removed, and she'll be getting teeth inserts. Pray for her as this is very painful.
-Continue to pray for Matt Bonds' family as they struggle with his grandmother's health, his father's job situation and his brother's bad choices/legal trouble. Pray for Matt and Erin as they visit his family this weekend.
-Cassie's coworker Bryce is getting more cancer treatments. Pray for God to work a miracle, and pray for Bryce's wife and children.
-Laura's coworker's mother has stage 4 colon cancer. Pray for her throughout the treatments, and pray for the family involved.
-Pray for all the babies in our class (Abbotts, Ansons, McCradys and Pughs).
-Jared's dad had eye surgery, and the recovery is very grueling. Pray for patience and that he heals quickly.
-Jared's former coworkwer's father just passed away, and his mother has diabetes in a nursing home. Pray for Jared's friend as he deals with the loss of his father and the declining health of his mother.
-David's job interview went well! Continue to pray for opportunities.
-David's cousin Nate was found, but he's now in jail dealing with a drug addiction. Pray for God to do a big work in his heart.
-Amber's school is going well! Continue to pray for her!

From 3/27:
-David's cousin Nate (16 years old) ran away from home. Has drug problems, and has been missing for more than 10 days. Please pray that he is found safe, and pray for his parents as they deal with the emotions of this situation.
-Ashley Redding's aunt passed away. Pray for the entire family as they mourn this loss. Pray that God gives them hope and peace in this sad situation.
-Ashley's grandmother was diagnosed with dimensia. Continue to pray for Ashley's family during this difficult time.
-Angella's friend has a friend dealing with cancer. Pray for all involved and that God would heal her.
-Kacie's sister got a new job in NYC, but she is going through quite a culture shock. Pray for her as she searches for a place to live and as she gets accustomed to life there.
-Matt Bonds' family is going through a lot. Matt's father continues to struggle with his business, Matt's grandmother (father's mother) is in failing health, and Matt's brother is in jail. Pray especially for Matt's parents as this is the hardest time they've gone through. Pray that God comforts them and gives them hope.
-Congrats to Neil for running in the half marathon! God has done amazing things through him!
-Marc's daughter Ryann is struggling in school, and Marc & Kacie have noticed she's been generally sad lately. Pray for Ryann and that God would take hold of her heart.
-Angella's job is changing to the electronic records in a week. Pray for all involved as this is a stressful time.
-Jen's friend Karen had her baby 2 months early. Pray that the baby girl, Cameron, continues to develop well.
-Amber has a heavy school load this week. Continue to pray for her as she juggles all of her school work.
-Continue to pray for David's job search and that the Lord would open some doors for him. Pray that David doesn't lose heart and perseveres as he searches for a job of significance.

From 3/6:
-Angella's sister's friend just had a baby, but her uterus burst, and now she's not awake. Pray that God heals her, and pray for her husband and baby through this rough time.
-Laura has a new position starting in April! She gets to work from home a little bit, too!
-Cassie & Bobby heard the baby's heartbeat on Tuesday.
-Pray for Bobby as he is exhausted due to all of his responsibilities. Pray that God gives him energy as well as patience when dealing with so many things all at once.
-Angella's company is going live with their electronic records on April 4. Continue to pray that this is a smooth transition.
-David hears about his job opportunity this week. Continue to pray the the Lord would open doors for him.
-Amber has been having major car problems, and it's been very frustrating. Pray that this gets resolved quickly (and cheaply).
-Marc got a raise last week!!!!
-Amber has 2 tests this week. Continue to pray for her every week as she prepares and studies.
-Paul's work has had some terrible hours lately. Pray for rest and a more steady schedule that can allow more time with Robin.

From 2/27:
-Cassie and Bobby are expecting a baby in mid-October! Pray for a healthy pregnancy. Please remember to pray also for those in our class who are seeking God's will to start a family.
-Praise that David has heard from a recruiter everyday for the last week for a promising position!! Continue to pray that the right opportunity is available for David.
-Continue to pray for Ashley and her back. She should get MRI results this week. Pray for positive results and quick healing.
-Also continue to pray for Ashley's Aunt (Cindy) as she battles cancer. (see today's update for more specifics).
-Kendra's co-worker (April) is getting married in about a month. April's father was in a terrible car accident last week and the family had to decide to remove his life support. Please pray for the family as they mourn and especially for April as she continues to plan the wedding.
-Beth Gullatt's niece (Lucy) just recently had a baby. The baby is 9 days old, less than 6 pounds and has developed a staph infection. Neither Lucy and her husband nor the baby's grandparents are seeking God in this. Pray that God will be able to use Mike and Beth in this situation to demonstrate his glory.
-Kacie's co-worker (Hayley) is seeking God. Kacie has been able to share quite a bit with her, but is also trying to wait on God's timing and his wisdom as Kacie witnesses to her. Hayley and her husband both grew up Catholic. Please pray for wisdom and patience as well as opportunities to further discuss with Hayley.
-Marc's daughter (Ryann) is listening more when she visits Prestonwood. Pray that the seeds planted in her heart will also be planted in Marc's family's heart and that Marc and Kacie will have the patience to wait on God as He works in Marc's family.
-Praise that Kendra is doing well after surgery.

From 2/20:
-Jen's mom is getting married today (2/22). Pray for a smooth transition in both families and for a long & happy marriage.
-Ashley gets her MRI results this week. Pray for good news.
-Kacie's stepdad's mom passed away. Pray for healing as she mourns.
Ashley's aunt is taking an oral chemo as a last resort. Pray for God's healing of her cancer.
-Continue to pray for David's job search; he has an opportunity with Amber's brother's company so pray for the Lord's will to be done in that situation.
-Amber has 2 tests this week. Pray for wisdom and concentration.
-Praise: Jen and Ryan and expecting their first baby on October 6th! They ask you to pray for a healthy pregnancy!

From 2/13:
-Praise: Kendra's feeling better. Continue to pray for her recovery.
-Praise: Kacie's dad surprised her for her birthday. Continue to pray for a stronger relationship.
-Laura's dad has cellulosis for the 2nd time. Pray for healing.
-Pray for David to get a response from companies that he's pursuing.
-Praise: Abbotts made it safely back from their trip.
-Amber's mom is really busy with her work right now. Pray for strength and perseverance.
-Ryan's great aunt passed away. Pray for the family as they mourn.
-Jen's mom is getting married on 2/22. Pray for the family throughout this big change.
-Robert's friend Eric Gentle is a full-time missionary who is being sent to a hostile country with his family. Pray for safety and that the Lord's will be done.
-David's friend Louis' aunt passed away. Pray for the family as they mourn with this sudden passing.

From 2/10:
-Pray for Kendra's recovery from gall bladder surgery.
-Praise: David & Amber are going to be an uncle & aunt!
-Abbotts are on vacation; pray for safe travels!
-Fallins are flying to El Paso on Thursday. Pray for safe travels.
-Jen's mom is getting married on 2/22. Pray for everyone involved and that this is a smooth transition for the families.

From 1/16:
-Amber started back at school today (Tues). Pray for a good semester!
-Paul & Robin's mentor couple is having troubles. Pray for God to do a work in their hearts, and pray for the Grays to have the best words to encourage them.
-David is still looking for a job. Pray for God's will to be done in this situation.
-Linda starts school on Wednesday. Pray for a good semester!
-Praise: Linda's dad is back home, and they've spent some time together.

From 1/9:
-Andrea's surgery is Thursday. Pray for the doctors' wisdom and that her surgery is successful.

-Pray for those affected by the tragedy in Arizona. May God be shown to them in this hard time.

-Kacie's stepdad has an interview this week.

-Bobby's dad had an eye injury. Pray for his recovery.

-Praise: Courtney's friend's baby Rowan got to go home!

From 1/2:

Michael's Dad - Pray for healing as he has been diagnosed with skin cancer again, one place especially that will need additional treatment.

Linda's Dad - Continue to pray for strength and courage in his new job in a foreign country.

Laura - Continue to pray for her potential job opportunity.
David's Job Search - Continue to pray for new opportunities and leads as the new year begins.

Angella's sister, Andrea - Upcoming eye surgery that will be very serious. Pray for His peace and the surgeon's skill.

Kacie and Marc - Some issues with Ryan's mom when Ryan is visiting, specifically her church attendance here.

Praise - Kacie was happy to be able to spend some time with her Dad over Christmas and he is motivated now with a new job interest. Prayers are being answered.

Praise - Michael has accepted a promotion at work with new and more responsibilities.

Praise - Congrats to Laura and Neil as they are expecting in July!!

Praise - Courtney and Chris are having a boy!

From 12/19:

Travel mercies for everyone that is traveling the next two weeks.

Linda asked for prayers for her Dad who is taking a job in Turkey. Pray for travel mercies and strength and confidence to do the job.

Pray for Laura - she has a pending job offer from a company she would really like to work for. Pray that the offer is generous and that God makes it clear the decision she should make.

Pray for David and Amber to have peace about David's job search and that God would give them provision for their lives. Pray also that God opens up the opportunities for David.

Praise - the Bond's are back. All the work they have done on their new home has been a blessing to their marriage. Matt praised God for giving him Erin.

Praise - Linda was accepted to graduate school at SMU

Praise - Kendra's Mom bought a new car.

From 12/11:
Continue to pray for David's job search. He has some good leads, but we'll keep praying until he lands a new job.

Courtney's friend's baby, Rowan, is doing better after the liver transplant but still needs our prayers to grow in strength.

Bobby's nephew is doing better. Cystic Fibrosis was ruled out. They are still doing tests to determine what the problem is.

Neal Jeffrey needs prayers for recovery from surgery to replace both knees.

Neil's Mom is recovering well from her knee surgery.

Pray for Laura as she considers a new job opportunity.

Pray for Neil's company, Tenet Health. Another company is making a bid to buy them.

Mark's Mom and Dad attended The Gift of Christmas.

Kendra received recognition at her job.

The Cowell's had a fire alarm go off at their home. Bad news is that it happened in the middle of the night. The good news is that it was not a fire.

From 12/5:
-Continue to pray for baby Rowan. She received her new liver a week ago and is still dealing with a few struggles. Pray for complete healing as her little bod accepts this liver. Also pray for the family who donated the liver to Rowan.
-Continue to pray for David's job search. Please pray for God's direction, wisdom and provision over their lives.
-Pray for all involved in the "Gift of Christmas" production starting this week at Prestonwood. But pray most of all that these performances will touch the lives of all who attend and any nonbelievers will come to a saving knowledge and grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
-Please keep Amber and Chris in your prayers as this is "Finals Week"!
-Pray for healing for Bobby's nephew Jackson (18 months) who has some digestive issues and is undergoing tests.

From 11/28:

-Continue to pray for Marc's family as they cope with the loss of his grandfather.

-Kacie's relationship with her father is still strained. Pray that God opens a line of communication and that God would open her father's heart.

-Amber has a speech test on Tuesday and Thursday.

-David is still looking for jobs. Pray that God will provide opportunities.

-Bobby was selected to be a deacon. Pray for him as he takes this responsibility.

-Kacie's grandfather's dimensia is getting worse. Pray for healing.

-Courtney's friend Megan's baby, Rowan, needs a liver transplant. Pray that God would heal this sweet baby.

-Pray for safe travels for everyone during Thanksgiving.
-PRAISE: Courtney & Chris Abbott are pregnant!!!
-David is making several job calls this week. Pray for a successful job search.
-Neil's mom's surgery went well, and she is recovering well.

- Ryann is struggling in school and her biological mother is considering putting her on medication. Marc and Kacie may be going to Missouri next weekend. Pray for Ryann and for wisdom for Marc and Kacie.
- continue to pray for Marc's grandfather...specifically for a softened heart and for salvation.
- jared's job is going to be crazy until after January.
- Pam Evatt was able to come to church for the first time in 6 weeks today!
- Cassie continue to pray for her situation at school
- neil's mom (Sharon) is having knee replacement surgery Monday
- Kacie's grandmother fell and broke her nose at the beauty shop
- Kacie's manager of four years at work shot herself last week. Pray for family, friends and coworkers

From 10/31:
-Continue to pray for Kacie's father as they try to improve communications.
-Marc's grandfather is still clinging to life, pray that Marc and Kacie will have another chance to share their faith.

-Angella's friend, Paula who attends Watermark, has a close friend in her "community group" who is seriously ill with tumor(s). Please pray for healing and strength for all involved.

-Keep Amber and David in your prayers over these next days/weeks. David was "outsourced" on Wednesday and is in the process of searching for a new job.

-Amber has a Government test on Friday -- please pray for her!

-Cassie's friend, Charissa McClain (PBC member and PCA staff), had some tests run for possible leukemia and should get the results on Monday. Pray for positive outcome, healing, and God's peace for Charissa and her family.

-Pray for Angella and her hectic work situation with people leaving and new policies being implemented.

-Also, pray for Laura as she is in a very stressful work situation over the next few months.

From 10:24:

-Paul & Robin's friend Dennis got tested 2 times this week for prostate cancer, and he's clear!!!

-Dennis' son in law got a job on the same day they got the test results!

-Paul starts his job on 11/1!

-Kendra's friend Ann is still fundraising and will have to make some job decisions soon. Pray for wisdom.

-Continue to pray for Pam Evatt as she recovers from knee surgery.

-Continue to pray for increased communication from Kacie's father.

-Continue to pray for Marc's grandfather. He is weak, but still alive, and Marc & Kacie still have chances to share their faith.

-Pray for a man Bobby met in the book store. His name is Dana, and his wife & children left him. He's trying to reach out but not succeeding. Pray for everyone involved, and that God would lay his hand on this situation.

-Continue to pray for the church project happening.

-Amber has a speech on Tuesday. Pray for her!

From 10/18:
-Cassie is really frustrated at her job. Pray for patience and a better attitude as she continues to work through these frustrations.
-Kendra's friend Anne is raising support for a nonprofit job. Pray that people's hearts would be open to donating.
-Laura's cousin & spouse is moving their family to live in the Maldives indefinitely. This is a 99% muslim country, and they have 4 girls. Pray for the whole family and that the people's hearts would be open to hear the Word.
-Marc's grandfather is still alive. Pray that the Lord would soften his heart so he could be willing to listen to Marc & Kacie's testimony.

From 10/10:

-Michael's dad passed his kidney stone and is no longer in pain.

-Paul has a verbal job offer and hopes to finalize the details at the beginning of this week. We give our Lord and Savior all the praise and glory for this answered prayer!

-Amber has 2 big tests (Thurs. & Fri.) - Government on Friday is the most dreaded. Pray for strength and perseverance as she prepares this week.

-Marc's grandfather is still living, although the dialysis has stopped. Please continue to pray for a willing heart toward accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord.

-Kacie's sister is running in the Chicago Marathon today.

-Congratulations to Bobby as he has been selected to be on a special church committee for a project that is over 1 year away. Pray that God would use him for His glory.

From 10/3:
-Paul has 3 interviews lined up. Pray for the Lords will to be done!
-Chris' test went okay. Continue praying for strength throughout this class.
-Lauren's friend Cindi's baby is gaining weight. Continue to pray for the family.
-Marc's grandpa is not being as receptive to the Word as Kacie & Marc had hoped. Pray for an open and willing heart as his days are numbered.
-Jen got a good mid-year review, so she feels peace about the layoffs.
-David's cousin's grandmother passed away. Pray for the whole family.
-Linda's cousin passed away at the young age of 17. Pray for the family to have peace as they grieve this situation.
-Michael's dad was in the hospital for a blocked bowl and kidney stone. Pray for healing.
-David's friend Nellie Roach is on 6 months of bedrest with her 3rd child. Her husband is working full time so it's very difficult to keep up with the children. Pray for this family.
-Kacie's father is slipping farther and farther away emotionally. She's worried about his spiritual and emotional health. Pray for their relationship to be strengthened.
-Pam Evatt had knee replacement surgery last week. Pray for continued healing.
-Amber has a math test on Wednesday. Pray!! :)

-Laura's friend Cindi's newborn son Blake is gaining weight and getting stronger. Continue to pray for this family.
-Paul has some good interviews lined up this week.
-The Bonds got a house!
-Amber's speech went well.

-Linda is applying to grad school to get her masters in Education.
-Angella's office is transitioning from paper files to computer files. She is heading this up so pray for strength and patience.
-Jared is sick with a bad cough.
-Cassie is really stressed at her job and isn't feeling supported by her administration. Pray for patience and steadfastness.
-Chris had a 4-hour test on Sunday.
-Jen's job could be in jeopardy. Pray for continued peace from the Lord.

From 9/18:
-Laura's friend Cindi's newborn son (Blake) isn't gaining weight and was admitted to the hospital for a feeding tube. He's had lots of complications since his birth. Cindi's mom is the one who died suddenly just before Cindi had her first child.
-Paul and Robin - praise that Dawn had a boy and has selected the adoptive family
-Amber has to present a speech on Tuesday
-Paul and his job opportunities.

From 9/11/10:

-Paul had a good job interview and has a couple more this week. Hoping to hear something by the end of the week. Keep praying for good things to happen.

-Robin's niece Dawn has decided to give up her baby for adoption. She is due on 9/15. Pray that the Lord would give her strength in this decision.

-Ashley Redding's aunt has stage 4 lung cancer. Pray for the whole family as they process and deal with this upsetting news. Pray also that the Lord would do miracles if it's in His will.

-Continue to pray for Jared's family as they grieve the loss of his cousin. There is a PRAISE in this loss... As his cousin passed away, his friend accepted Christ. Praise the Lord!

-PBC church member Bill Blythe's grandson was killed in a motorcycle accident. Pray for the family and that the Lord would give them peace in this difficult time.

From 9/4:

-Pray for Robin's niece, Dawn, as she is having her second child. Pray that the Lord would give her wisdom to make the right decision and put her baby up for adoption.

-Pray for Paul's job search. He has his 2nd interview on Tuesday.

-Pray for our class as we make big decisions to help us grow.

-PRAISE: Hollen and Joseph had their baby boy last week!
